Fall Carnival October 31 5pm-7pm
Join Us Sunday's @ 10am for Sunday service

At Lake City foursquare we believe that we are called to do a couple of things well; love God and love people! We believe that God put us in Moses Lake to demonstrate His love towards a hurting, broken community that has not felt the church or God were the answer. Jesus said, “I came to heal the broken hearted and set the captives free.”

We believe HE is still doing that very thing in anyone who will come into a relationship with Him. Our part as a church is to “Love” people where they are, no strings attached, “accept” people for who they are, understanding that God has a plan for their life, and to “forgive” people when they “mess” up. We are making a difference in the Columbia basin and encourage you to join us as we “love God and love people!”

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Lake City Foursquare Church is to honor God by helping the not yet convinced become convinced and the convinced, fully devoted followers of Christ. The vision of our church is to love God with all we have, love the people around us enough to introduce them to Jesus and to love the people in our church until we all become what God wants us to be.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Dave and Laury Chandler, Senior Pastors

Dave and Laury Chandler planted LCF 12 years ago after moving back to their home town from their first church plant. Laury’s parents homesteaded in northern British Columbia and then she moved to Spokane where she finished high school. Dave grew up in Moses Lake and the best day of his life was when he met his future wife at a church camp! Together they have 6 children and best of all, 7 grand children who they love to spend their time with. Dave and Laury have a blast riding their motorcycle and above all they love to serve Jesus and His church here in Moses Lake. Down to earth, real, relevant and authentic are words that describe them and the ministry at Lake City Foursquare.

lindafamilyLinda Ochoa, Administrative Assistant

Oscar & Linda met in college in 1987.  They have been married for 21 years.  They have three children; Daniel, Ezekyel and  Abeni.  They have served with Pastors Dave and Laury here at Lake City for 12 years, but have served in ministry for over 24 years.  They have a passion for strong marriages and families.  They also love to disciple and be involved in the community.

Linda is at the Church Office Mon-Thursday from 10 am – 4 pm. She is the main contact for all information at Lake City.

Dave & Mary Ponsness, Children Pastor

Dave and Mary Ponsness first met in May of 2010. At the time, Mary resided in Moses lake and Dave in Spokane. Both were in the medical billing profession. When Dave was sent to Moses Lake to do further training at the store that Mary managed at the time, well let’s just say that God had plans that they did not expect and are extremely thankful today for the outcome. After a year of “long distance dating”, and as God continued to firmly build the relationship, Dave and Mary were married on May 14 2011.

Previously, Dave was a fully licensed children’s pastor in Spokane for four years. Dave graduated from INSTE (Institute of Theology by Extension) in 2003. Dave oversaw the entire children’s program which included: developing “Power Up Children’s Ministry”, VBS, Kid’s Camp, introducing the “Saturday Easter Egg Scramble”, oversight of over 100 volunteers and the list goes on.

Dave is a licensed Foursquare pastor and is currently ministering, with his wife and soul mate Mary, as children’s pastors here at Lake City Foursquare.

Dave and Mary reside in Moses Lake and have 5 children in total: Desiree (Spokane, WA), Melody (Post Falls, ID), Lindsay (Boise, ID), Mallory and Blake (Moses Lake, WA).

We believe giving is at the heart of the message of the Gospel. John 3:16 says, “God loved the world so much that He gave…” Money can be a sensitive issue in the context of church, but it is also one of the best determining factors on the disposition of our hearts, according to Jesus (Matthew 6:19).

Here is how we see it:

As a church, people are the focus of everything we do, not their money. We don’t view things through the lens of a donor base, giving units or pet projects for those with money. We want everyone who comes to feel welcome, whether or not you give financially toward our cause.

Some people give out of duty, others give as an investment to get something back, but neither is the biblical mandate for giving. Giving is an act of worship between you and God and therefore should not be done out of compulsion or guilt (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 9:6-8).

Those who generously contribute to Lake City know that it is to benefit the people who walk in the doors and the community where we live.  Plus we believe in supporting church plants nationally and around the world.

We wish we lived in a utopian society where we could get free use of facilities and unlimited free data packages on cell phones. But the reality is that we have budgeted items that need to be funded to keep things moving along. We’re doing our best to work with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God.

Things are pretty straightforward. Ask us. We’ll show you.

S for Scripture

Open your Bible to the reading found under today’s date of the reading plan. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, write it in your journal.

O for Observation

What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Paraphrase and write this scripture down in your on words, in your journal.

A for Application

Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, revelation of a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.

P for Prayer

This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say. Now write it down.

Lordship – Part 6

We are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body; the spirit is born again at salvation, it is perfect, the spirit is what is alive in us, it is what animates our body.
Our battle is with the mind, how we think, the fears, the insecurities that we deal with; the way we were “programed” from the day we were born through messages, words, events, etc. that we encountered…

Life, messages, events all have a way of “fracturing” our souls, tearing away at our confidence to live life

Lordship – Part 5

We are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body; the battle field for you and I is in the mind, not in the behavior or in the spirit man…
Our behavior flows out of our soul, and so if our soul man is not being renewed, and our spirit man is not in control; our thoughts will lead us to certain behaviors…
If we focus on the behavior, “I don’t smoke and chew and I don’t kiss the girls that do” we will have to live a;

Lordship – Part 4

Many of us have a problem with the word Lord, “we are a free people and no one owns us or bosses us around…” so the concept of salvation; being saved from hell, is easy to grab a hold of; but to let Jesus be the Lord, or owner of my life is tough to swallow.
So we will “add a little religion, throw in a buck or two, because we own us and our stuff…

But to be a fully devoted follower goes farther than that, it is releasing my rights, my wants etc. and trusting my Father to love me

Lordship – Part 3

When I begin to understand that many of the problems, hang-ups and dysfunctions I struggle with are not because I am failing as a Jesus follower; “I just need to try harder…” most of my problems stem from my thinking, my following my “un-renewed” mind. My poverty of ideas, my fear of change, my need to control and manipulate; those all come from a mind that is still in need of changing!!

But my spirit at salvation is new, perfect, no problem… at salvation I come into a relationshi

Lordship – Part 2

God created us in His image and always designed for there to be communication with us and Him; but through sin, we fell out of close communication with Him and we find ourselves in the predicament we are in today; a perfect spirit and a mind that is messed up!!

The thing is this; my being able to hear God’s voice is not based on the maturity of the soul (mind) it is based on my “walking in the spirit” which really means that I am looking to be focused on listening to what my spirit is s

Lordship – Part 1

So good morning and welcome to all of you on LCF online; we are so glad you are here today and I am very excited about this new series we are going to roll into today, I know your program cover will say “a mind for miracles” that is not a typo, I made a prayered up decision to re-name this today….

The reason I am calling this Lordship is because renewing the way we think, is really all about recognizing that my life boils down to understanding that it is all about making Jesus Lord of m

Ingredients For A Miracle – Part 4

So good morning and welcome; I am so excited about this fall and all the very good things that are happening here; miracles and healings etc. lives being changed….

We used the story of Gideon last week to take a look at how God uses us to be the solution to the problem; in fact as we have discussed, we do not have problems, we have opportunities to see the power of God…

When you are talking about us being the solution to the problem, remember God always starts with us!

Ingredients For A Miracle – Part 3b

Ingredients For A Miracle – Part 3

Last week I gave you the last 5 ingredients for a miracle, we had given the first 5 the week before, and a reminder… if you are going to have miracles the first thing you need is a great need and remember… we don’t have problems; we have opportunities!!!

So let’s use the story of a guy in the Old Testament who was an awful lot like the rest of us, and I think we will see some real keys to use; his name is Gideon. We have talked about him before, and I have to tell you he is one of my

Ingredients For A Miracle – What’s In The House Part 2

So last week we started to talk about this passage found in 2 Kings 4 where this widow lady; whose husband had served the prophet and God his whole life has died and now she is left with his debts and to pay them off her 2 sons are going to be sold into slavery; not a good thing!

Now from this part of the bible we can see ten things that I call “ingredients for a miracle” we hit 5 of them last week and to recap here they are;
1. Know where to go when you don’t know where to go.
2. Don
