Faith That Destroys Depression

I want to talk to you today about a subject that for some reason many in the church are afraid to discuss, in fact there is a stigma attached to this pain that causes many to hide, deny and suffer in silence; feeling that they are somehow a sub-par Christian because they may struggle with this particular point of brokenness.

How many of you are glad that Jesus bore all our pains and sicknesses? There is no reason to fear or suffer in silence and loneliness any longer, Jesus loves you and has

Faith That Destroys Fear

I recently read this article about fear that I will tell you about in a minute, things that seem really become giants in our lives that really are not as big and scary as we tend to believe; I think you are going to learn some things, but today I want to talk to you about one of those giants that so many struggle with; fear.

We have all kinds of fears. What does the Bible have to say about those fears? Did you know that the Bible talks more about fears than it does about heaven or hell? God m

When Only a Miracle Will Do

So last week we talked about the fear of failure and how insidious it really is, and so we are going to keep that going another week, but we are going to put a little different spin on things this morning; what about those times when only a miracle will do?

We are going to learn from a guy who did a pretty amazing thing; by the way, you are called by God to do some pretty amazing things too!

The fact that we are around for a long time almost certainly guarantees that there will be a breakd

Fighting the Fear of Failure

I want to talk to you this morning about the fear of failure.

This fear is so insidious, it really keeps us from living and experiencing life the way I believe God intended it to be lived. We miss out on travel, relationships, opportunities, finances, fun… all because we are afraid that if we try we might not succeed, never realizing that God always works things out for our good if we will trust Him and attempt.

We all fear failure even though we have all experienced it. It is part of th

Bring More Oil

I know anyone under the age of forty is not going to remember this but they used to have this stuff for cuts that was called iodine. It was red, stained everything, and burned like the dickens! Every time I got a cut or scrap my mom would come at me with the bottle of iodine and pour it on me and I would scream and squirm and she would keep on pouring this stuff…

I think they outlawed it along with DDT and Agent Orange because I don’t see it anymore…

Later there was mercurochrome and

Against All Odds

So I thought I would talk to you this morning about our awesome God who loves to turn the tables and beat the odds makers by His miraculous power, and He loves to surprise us by His grace and wisdom.

“…the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; but just as it is written, things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepa

It’s the Little Things – Part 2

• I have the power to choose.

Duet. 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life so that both you and your children will live…”

2 Peter 1:3 everything that goes into a life pleasing to God has been given miraculously to us by getting to know, personally and intimately the one who invited us to God in the first place…

I think the most compelling thing to remember is that I have the choice
