Our Mission & Vision

Our strategy is simple;
LOVE—We can love others because Jesus loved us first.
MEND—We understand that we are all broken and need the healing only Jesus can bring.
TRAIN— The live the abundant life Jesus has for us involves the renewing of our mind through the power of God’s word
SEND— Christ encourages us to reach our friends, family and neighbors with the powerful story of what He has done for us.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

We believe giving is at the heart of the message of the Gospel. John 3:16 says, “God loved the world so much that He gave…” Money can be a sensitive issue in the context of church, but it is also one of the best determining factors on the disposition of our hearts, according to Jesus (Matthew 6:19).

We use “GIVEPLUS+” for quick, easy and safe online giving.

Here is how we see it:

As a church, people are the focus of everything we do, not their money. We don’t view things through the lens of a donor base, giving units or pet projects for those with money. We want everyone who comes to feel welcome, whether or not you give financially toward our cause.

Some people give out of duty, others give as an investment to get something back, but neither is the biblical mandate for giving. Giving is an act of worship between you and God and therefore should not be done out of compulsion or guilt (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 9:6-8).

Those who generously contribute to Lake City know that it is to benefit the people who walk in the doors and the community where we live.  Plus we believe in supporting church plants nationally and around the world.

We wish we lived in a utopian society where we could get free use of facilities and unlimited free data packages on cell phones. But the reality is that we have budgeted items that need to be funded to keep things moving along. We’re doing our best to work with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God.

Things are pretty straightforward. Ask us. We’ll show you.

S for Scripture

Open your Bible to the reading found under today’s date of the reading plan. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, write it in your journal.

O for Observation

What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Paraphrase and write this scripture down in your on words, in your journal.

A for Application

Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, revelation of a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.

P for Prayer

This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say. Now write it down.

Hope & Joy Part 2

March 2015

Joy & Hope

So we are going to continue looking at cultures that we want to believe and live in as we build a church that brings honor to Jesus. We laid the foundation for our church with the first culture of family; relationship it is all about relationship in the kingdom; God to us—us to others. We could have all kinds of faith and works etc. but if we don’t understand it is all about relationship then we have missed the whole thing.
Then we moved on to the second culture; the goodness of God. God is

Culture of Our Church – The Goodness of God Part 5

So welcome once again as we continue on our journey discussing the “goodness of God” last week we talked about how we can have victory in life even when we are losing battles along the way, our theology of our Dad is not determined by our past experiences, and that I have this day to live and choose to worship God and I will never have worship Him in this condition again; ever, so live this moment to the fullest!!
Remember the story of Mount Everest I told you last week? Remember this: your

Culture of Our Church – The Goodness of God Part 4

So we have been talking about the cultures that we hold as core to who we are and we started with the culture of family, and then the culture of the goodness of God and that is where we continue today. To save time I am not going to do a lot of recap of where we have been; you can go on-line if you want and get caught up but let me say this talk of culture is so important to the life of our house….

So today we are going to answer a question that has to be in the minds of a lot of us as we t

The Culture of Our Church – The Goodness of God Part 3

We have been taking a look at the different cultures that we want to be identified with when people think of our church. We call them cultures; everyone and every church has cultures that are unique to them, we sometimes call them “core values” things we live our lives by.
It is a culture, a core value of ours that the church is family, we are family. This is not a cute saying; it is truth that because of Jesus we are family. We have been adopted into the family of our dad in heaven, we

Culture of Our Church – The Goodness of God Part 2

So welcome this morning as we continue to look at the cultures that we hold dear in our church that define who we are as people who love and follow Jesus. We began last week looking at the 2nd culture of our church; the goodness of God, God is good all the time, His approach to us is all good all the time…
We have to understand this primary truth or we will approach God with;
• Apprehension vs. anticipation!

When we think of coming to our dad in heaven, do we do it with great anticipati

Culture of Our Church – Goodness of God

So we continue this morning to lay out bedrock cultures of our church, cultures that define who we are and what we are about. We took a few weeks to look at the culture of family, and how the father is central to the family, in fact heavens government, (the entitlement to rule) is family; the church is all about family from beginning to end, a place to call home, and how powerful the issue of family and sonship/daughter is to the church and our lives.

The reality is that the church is all abo

Culture of Family Part 5

So once again we are going to take a look at the Father heart and the power of being a son. We really had to blast through some things last week so I am going to re-cover some of the topics we hit on last week but maybe just go a little deeper today.
This topic of father heart is so huge and it really has the power to impact your life and as you get a hold of this and get it down deep change you in so many powerful ways. We have been using the 15th chapter of the book of Luke as a reference po

Culture of Family – Part 4

So a great big welcome as we continue to talk about the family and the father heart, I want to go back and do a little catch up and recap of where we left off last week.
We are talking about the father heart, the call to be healed in the inner person, understanding that we have a father in heaven who has this crazy love for us and brings us into a relationship with Him through the life and death of His son.

Romans 8:11, 15-17 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells

Culture of Family – Part 3

• The Father and son.
This relationship is central to the family and the entitlement to rule; the foundation of every relationships ability to be healthy is the father. Key to the church is the ability by the Spirit to have:

• Inner healing.
As miraculous as any physical healing the ability to have inner healing is the biggest mystery outside of salvation itself. Absent inner healing taking place in every one of us, you are left with controlling, fear and manipulation.
Because we live
