Our Mission & Vision

Our strategy is simple;
LOVE—We can love others because Jesus loved us first.
MEND—We understand that we are all broken and need the healing only Jesus can bring.
TRAIN— The live the abundant life Jesus has for us involves the renewing of our mind through the power of God’s word
SEND— Christ encourages us to reach our friends, family and neighbors with the powerful story of what He has done for us.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

We believe giving is at the heart of the message of the Gospel. John 3:16 says, “God loved the world so much that He gave…” Money can be a sensitive issue in the context of church, but it is also one of the best determining factors on the disposition of our hearts, according to Jesus (Matthew 6:19).

We use “GIVEPLUS+” for quick, easy and safe online giving.

Here is how we see it:

As a church, people are the focus of everything we do, not their money. We don’t view things through the lens of a donor base, giving units or pet projects for those with money. We want everyone who comes to feel welcome, whether or not you give financially toward our cause.

Some people give out of duty, others give as an investment to get something back, but neither is the biblical mandate for giving. Giving is an act of worship between you and God and therefore should not be done out of compulsion or guilt (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 9:6-8).

Those who generously contribute to Lake City know that it is to benefit the people who walk in the doors and the community where we live.  Plus we believe in supporting church plants nationally and around the world.

We wish we lived in a utopian society where we could get free use of facilities and unlimited free data packages on cell phones. But the reality is that we have budgeted items that need to be funded to keep things moving along. We’re doing our best to work with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God.

Things are pretty straightforward. Ask us. We’ll show you.

S for Scripture

Open your Bible to the reading found under today’s date of the reading plan. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, write it in your journal.

O for Observation

What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Paraphrase and write this scripture down in your on words, in your journal.

A for Application

Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, revelation of a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.

P for Prayer

This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say. Now write it down.

New Beginnings

With all of the people in the word that I look at, at some point in their life they had what I would call a “do-over” or a new start. Their pre-God life may have been pretty wacky but God gave them a new chance to start over; it is a characteristic of the way God deals all of us.

Why We Need New Beginnings

Our God is a God of new beginnings. All of us need new beginnings. We stumble and fumble and we wish we could do it over again so God created us with the need for new beginnings. He

Valuing His Presence Part 4

Valuing His Presence – Part 3

So good morning as we continue to talk about the culture of valuing the presence of God in our daily lives and in our community. Culture means, we value the presence of God and understand that His presence is what heals, redeems, saves, gives hope, makes the word (bible) real and relevant…
Culture as opposed to a program, system or a strategy; culture is the foundation that allows something to grow and prosper, a strategy is how something is accomplished. Remember this; culture will eat strat

Valuing His Presence – Part 2

So welcome this morning as we continue looking at the culture of “valuing His presence”, we started last week by taking a look at the law that God gave to Moses; originally the 10 commandments followed up by more law regarding the construction and operation of the temple.
The temple represented the place where the presence of God would reside “near” the people on a daily basis, up until this time they had felt the presence of God in a fire by night and a cloud by day; He had given to t

Valuing His Presence – Part 1

So welcome this morning as we begin to discuss a brand new culture in our study of the different cultures that make up our house here at LCF, and it is the culture of “valuing the presence of God.”

It helps for you to understand that I really believe that as a Christian, and because of the goodness of God and the grace He gives to me, I have the power and privilege of deciding what kind of life I am going to live; will I live in joy, in peace, in health, in passion… I have the power to

Grace & Empowerment Part 7

So I am taking a chance this morning and I want you to bear with me as I explain where I am going. We have been talking for 6 weeks about the culture of “grace that empowers others to thrive” and my plan was to start a new culture this morning; the culture of “valuing His presence”. I was and am excited to begin this new culture where we talk about the topic of worship, I am ready and in fact up until Thursday I was going in that direction. But after so many conversations with so many pe

Grace & Empowerment Part 6

Good morning and welcome as we continue talking about cultures and more specifically the culture of grace, and I have to tell you I was moving on but Jesus kept bringing me back to just a few more things about this culture of grace, that empowers people to thrive.

So now, back to grace that empowers. Last week I left off, and really I needed to come back to these points because they are so important; they were, grace gives me the power to forgive; and grace enables me to give.

Grace & Empowerment Part 5

Welcome this morning as we finish up our discussion of the culture of grace and the empowerment it gives to us as followers of Jesus Christ; He who the Son set free is free indeed. The point of grace is to set us free to decide how we are going to live our life;
2 Peter 1:2-4 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glor

Grace & Empowerment Part 4

So here we go. Grace: the kind of grace God gives that empowers us to choose how we are going to live our life; grace that gives us the power and ability to be in charge of our own lives, not subject to circumstances for my soul health, joy, or calling. I get to choose.
So last week we talked about the tension and balance of grace verses legalism and I want to continue on today; interesting how many people this week I talked to that said keep on this subject, I think I am getting it.
