Our Mission & Vision

Our strategy is simple;
LOVE—We can love others because Jesus loved us first.
MEND—We understand that we are all broken and need the healing only Jesus can bring.
TRAIN— The live the abundant life Jesus has for us involves the renewing of our mind through the power of God’s word
SEND— Christ encourages us to reach our friends, family and neighbors with the powerful story of what He has done for us.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Giving

We believe giving is at the heart of the message of the Gospel. John 3:16 says, “God loved the world so much that He gave…” Money can be a sensitive issue in the context of church, but it is also one of the best determining factors on the disposition of our hearts, according to Jesus (Matthew 6:19).

We use “GIVEPLUS+” for quick, easy and safe online giving.

Here is how we see it:

PEOPLE ARE MOST IMPORTANT

As a church, people are the focus of everything we do, not their money. We don’t view things through the lens of a donor base, giving units or pet projects for those with money. We want everyone who comes to feel welcome, whether or not you give financially toward our cause.

FINANCIAL GIVING IS FIRST AND FOREMOST ABOUT WORSHIP

Some people give out of duty, others give as an investment to get something back, but neither is the biblical mandate for giving. Giving is an act of worship between you and God and therefore should not be done out of compulsion or guilt (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 9:6-8).

WE PREFER TO SEE IT AS WHAT WE GIVE OUT, NOT WHAT WE BRING IN.

Those who generously contribute to Lake City know that it is to benefit the people who walk in the doors and the community where we live.  Plus we believe in supporting church plants nationally and around the world.

LIFE ISN’T ABOUT MONEY, BUT IT IS NECESSARY IN SOCIETY

We wish we lived in a utopian society where we could get free use of facilities and unlimited free data packages on cell phones. But the reality is that we have budgeted items that need to be funded to keep things moving along. We’re doing our best to work with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God.

SOAP

S for Scripture

Open your Bible to the reading found under today’s date of the reading plan. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, write it in your journal.

O for Observation

What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Paraphrase and write this scripture down in your on words, in your journal.

A for Application

Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, revelation of a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.

P for Prayer

This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say. Now write it down.

Victorious Mindsets – Part 4

We are still experiencing some technical difficulties with our video and audio recording.
Please forgive the hiccups in the audio. Thank you!

So welcome this morning as we continue on our journey of discovery of the power of a transformed mind; a mind transformed by the power of believing the promises in the word.

Just reading the bible is not what transforms us, it is reading and believing the promises that are found in the word…

Beloved,

Victorious Mindset – Part 3

So welcome this morning as we continue to look at the power of the word to transform the mind, and as the mind is transformed we go from a mind that is full of doubt and the negative; a mind that uses fear and anger to control and manipulate for short term gain at the expense of long term prosperity.

I am programed to use circumstances to excuse my decisions, thinking I have put a protective buffer around me when in reality I have robbed my prosperous future; bought and paid for by J

Victorious Mindsets – (Changing My Thinking) – Part 2

There was technical difficulties around minute 32 in the sermon audio.
It dropped some of the sermon.

Changing The Way You Think (Victorious Mindsets Part 1)

We have been studying the cultures that make up the community that we call Lake City; or just LCF, and so today we are going to take a pause from some of the cultures and focus for some time on the subject of control; more specifically the power we possess to use the word of God to influence and control the destiny and trajectory of my life.

But as we discussed last week:

• My mind stands in the way.

The problem is not with God or the spirit alive in me, the problem lies in my mind. T

Deciding Who You Will Be

I am not sure if some of you have ever had you identity stolen, we recently have come very close and I am here to tell you it is awful! You not only spend a ton of time making sure you have some protection over your identity, but you feel like you can’t really do anything to stop it or fix it!
I even had someone call me a pose to be trying to fix my computer so they could gain access to what I have stored on it.

It’s bad enough when someone hacks into your computer and steals your identi

Releasing the Supernatural – Part 3

Welcome this morning, I am so looking forward to this morning as we continue in our study of releasing the supernatural, another of the cultures that we believe is core to becoming the people that Jesus wants us to be. I am also looking forward to the whole season of Christmas, I love all the “goings on” that happens this time of year but I especially love that the message of Jesus is going out this time of year more than any other time.

I know that this is not really the time of year tha

Releasing the Supernatural – Part 2

So welcome this morning as we continue to discover the culture of the supernatural, encountering God everyday in the world around us, I am so excited about this culture; learning to recognize Jesus all around us…

So let’s just dive right in.
So when you are thinking about the supernatural, you have to ask yourself; “why would God want me to live in the supernatural in the first place”?

• Why would God want us to live in the supernatural?

John 14:11-14 Message bible “Beli

Releasing the Supernatural

So welcome this morning as we begin to discuss a new culture that we believe and hold dear here at LCF; the culture of releasing the supernatural. But before we start, I think it is good to remember why we are talking about cultures in the first place; why is it important to think about the idea of cultures and how they relate to a house like ours?
When we talk about cultures, we are talking about the environment that allows for things to prosper and grow and become healthy; in the case of the

Cuts & Bruises

Good morning; I don’t know if there is anything sadder than family feuds; you know, someone said something or did something and the next thing you know there is a rift that seems miles apart.

Doing a lot of funerals I get to see people in their most trying times and I am here to tell you I have seen some of the craziest feuds break out in the middle of planning or the executing a funeral. People that have wounds that go back years and years and suddenly the fight is on. And it goes on in ch
