Our Mission & Vision

Our strategy is simple;
LOVE—We can love others because Jesus loved us first.
MEND—We understand that we are all broken and need the healing only Jesus can bring.
TRAIN— The live the abundant life Jesus has for us involves the renewing of our mind through the power of God’s word
SEND— Christ encourages us to reach our friends, family and neighbors with the powerful story of what He has done for us.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

We believe giving is at the heart of the message of the Gospel. John 3:16 says, “God loved the world so much that He gave…” Money can be a sensitive issue in the context of church, but it is also one of the best determining factors on the disposition of our hearts, according to Jesus (Matthew 6:19).

We use “GIVEPLUS+” for quick, easy and safe online giving.

Here is how we see it:

As a church, people are the focus of everything we do, not their money. We don’t view things through the lens of a donor base, giving units or pet projects for those with money. We want everyone who comes to feel welcome, whether or not you give financially toward our cause.

Some people give out of duty, others give as an investment to get something back, but neither is the biblical mandate for giving. Giving is an act of worship between you and God and therefore should not be done out of compulsion or guilt (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 9:6-8).

Those who generously contribute to Lake City know that it is to benefit the people who walk in the doors and the community where we live.  Plus we believe in supporting church plants nationally and around the world.

We wish we lived in a utopian society where we could get free use of facilities and unlimited free data packages on cell phones. But the reality is that we have budgeted items that need to be funded to keep things moving along. We’re doing our best to work with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God.

Things are pretty straightforward. Ask us. We’ll show you.

S for Scripture

Open your Bible to the reading found under today’s date of the reading plan. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, write it in your journal.

O for Observation

What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Paraphrase and write this scripture down in your on words, in your journal.

A for Application

Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, revelation of a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.

P for Prayer

This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say. Now write it down.

What Now?

Cuts & Bruises – Part 2

It’s amazing how people can overcome the largest problems and trip over minor tribulations. Although these problems are small in size, they have the potential to do great harm. In relationships, these minor tribulations can shatter lives.

An untrue rumor, a miscommunication, a misperception, and someone’s immaturity are minor problems that have the potential to destroy our relationships. We are all immature to one level or another. But ironically, we can overcome the biggest battle, but

Broken People Can’t Dance

So good morning, so glad to see you and looking forward to this Wednesday night when hundreds of people are going to be here to enjoy a carnival we have set up for them; it is our attempt to have some fun and reach some people for Jesus…

A couple of years ago Laury and I were in Seattle, and we were walking up 1st ave. and there was this gentleman in a wheel chair and he was trying to push himself up the street and he was obviously very ill and not going to make it up the street. You see th

Against All Odds

Scars, Wounds, & Infections

I believe one of the greatest opportunities we have as a Christian is to be a person who gets to help other people find healing for all the junk in their life. Life has a way of beating us up, we live in a very sinful world and bad stuff happens to really good people. People are suffering from abuse, neglect, rejection; the list goes on and on. How awesome it is that you and I not only are recipients of God’s healing but we are also agents of His healing power to our world; that is exciting to

As we enter this time of seasonal changes it got me to thinking and I heard a young woman I have a lot of respect for talking about this subject; we are all basically in one of three places in our life; at all times;

We are either going into, we are in the middle or we are coming out of difficult times; ok, we can all go home a little depressed now…

Think about it; you are either in a pretty good place but about to enter some challenges, or you are right now in a real season of challenge

Grace – Part 20

Wrap up on the Series Grace

• Grace is free; you can’t earn it!

Instead of just me saying it, go to the word of God;
Eph. 2:8-9 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (NLT)
Grace is not earned, it is received; like a gift on your birthday you reach out and take it; it isn’t a gift if you have to pay for it!!

• Love is the “starter” for grace.

Grace – Part 19

Grace – Part 18

So welcome this morning as we continue along in our study of grace and how grace is the only answer to shame. Speaking of shame, the question really boils down to how do you deal with shame?
How do you get over the shame of your past, how do you heal if shame keeps coming back on you, how you move on from shame….

So after last week we had a lot of questions regarding true repentance vs. sorrow; so to recap from where we were last week:

1. Repent

This goes to that point of not just
