So welcome this morning as we are going to take another look at the mission of our church, and our own personal mission, we all have a purpose or a mission and I want to take a few moments today and unpack this a little bit more…

I sure love what the Father is doing in our lives and in our community here at LCF; when we discover our mission, clarify it we can withstand the valleys that come with life…

  • “We exist to make fully devoted followers of Jesus; not just believers.”

When we took a long hard look at our community here at LCF, looked at our history, the history of our movement, looked at the prophecy’s that had been spoken over this house, from years ago; some going back to the 70’s before LCF was even established we saw a pattern.

When leaders of this house sat in a restaurant and told their stories, and all weeping told of the need to protect a house where people could be authentic, real, hopeful, with condemnation or judgment as they pursued Jesus and the healing that only He could bring; we knew that the values and cultures of this house were being clarified by Jesus for us to protect and encourage.

We exist because we want people to be “fully devoted” followers of Jesus, not just believing He exists…

James 2:19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.

To that end, we want ministries that facilitate healing, not just physically but emotionally, spiritually…

Those ministries are not the mission; they are the vehicle to accomplish the mission. For example worship is not the mission; worship is a vehicle that helps people get to the spot where the Holy Spirit can soften a heart, speak to someone…

Small groups are not the mission; they are a vehicle that helps us to help people become fully devoted to Jesus…

The mission is to make people fully devoted followers, not just believe…
