Sermon Notes

We are in the middle of a eight week challenge to live life like you only had a few weeks to live, think about it, if you knew that you only had one month to live, how would it change the way you live, the way you view life? How would you act differently to the people in your life, what are the things you would worry about or what are the things that you would forget about figuring they just weren’t worth the effort?

Imagine for a moment what would go through your mind knowing that your time on earth was about to come to an end, what things would you change? How would your marriage change? How would you parent differently? How would you talk to people differently? How would you spend your money, your time, or your energy differently?

Well the beauty is that we don’t have to wait until we receive that kind of news before we act to make our life different, we can start right now and make the changes that we should to live life to the fullest, squeezing the most we could out of life, living to our fullest potential, and living in our fullest passion.

Far too many of us want our life to be different, we would start some things, we would worry less, we would laugh more and we would love with a reckless abandon, but we let things stand in the way of having the life we want become a reality, we let fear of change, we let voices of the past, we let “responsibilities” hold us back from being the person that we long to be, and the person we were created to be!

I am really hoping that many of you will listen carefully over the next few weeks, because I can’t think of anything worse than go to your own funeral with a life of regrets, how tragic to grow old wishing you had changed things. The point; make the changes now, get the help now, start to live life right now, don’t live another day making excuses or waiting for “someday” to arrive; make the changes today!
